Troy Simon: Director of Client Services

ProEst CEO Jeff Gerardi has named Troy Simon as Director of Client Services, a new role for the company. Simon will oversee the ProEst Implementation team, the group responsible for successfully onboarding all new clients. Simon had previously served as an Implementation Manager for ProEst, joining the company In May of 2020. “In the short time that Troy has been with ProEst, he has demonstrated the kind of knowledge and leadership we want for our clients,” said Gerardi. “His experience in the technology field, coupled with his deep understanding of the construction industry, makes Troy the ideal choice for this important new position.”

Before coming to ProEst, Simon served as Director of Operations for 10Score Technologies, during which he helped launch a new Acumatica Construction Edition VAR for seven states, designing and deploying best practices for both the sales and implementation teams to support new customer acquisitions. Simon also served as an Implementation Consultant for Alliance Solutions Group, and for eight years was a Regional Sales Manager for Viewpoint software, earning recognition as a two-time President's Club award recipient for sales achievement. Early in his career, Simon worked in commercial and residential real estate sales in Florida, where he was named a 5X Multi-Million Dollar Sales Agent for Sarasota-based Burke Realty.

Long aware of ProEst as a key industry player before coming on board, Simon has quickly come to appreciate ProEst’s customer-centric point of view, a trait, he says, that leading technology companies tend to have in common.

“What makes ProEst great for the customer is the same thing you could say about any great tech company: that they always put the user experience first,” said Simon. “In technology, the companies that really land it are able to fulfill the current needs of the customer but are also constantly in pursuit of improvement. We address what has to be addressed, while at the same time are expanding on needs customers may not yet even be aware of. ProEst is doing a great job at that with the cloud platform.”

Simon credits his role in technology sales and subsequent pivot to product implementation as useful “credentials” for his new ProEst responsibilities, giving him the ability to see things from multiple points of view. “I came from a sales background initially, so I’ve seen both sides of the coin. During the sales process, you’re uncovering opportunities and figuring out why a piece of software is a good fit.” It’s on the implementation side, Simon explains, that clients see the solution in a real-world environment—often for the first time-- and where he can add special value. “I think I’m uniquely qualified to meet expectations and provide a real sense of what ProEst can do best for every client.”

A graduate of Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah, Simon has volunteered as a community youth soccer coach in the Atlanta area for the past thirteen years and actively supports fundraising and awareness for the Down Syndrome Association of the Emerald Coast. He is married and has three children.
